Effective date: August 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Maid In India ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information through the Parivaar app — the worker-facing companion app for domestic service professionals ("workers," "you") registered with Maid In India. It applies only to the Parivaar Worker App and the backend services it talks to.
To create and operate a Parivaar worker account, we collect:
Parivaar requests precise (GPS) location access, including foreground and background location on Android, because location is central to how job matching and dispatch work:
Location is sent from the app to our backend over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection while you are on duty or have an active job. We store your most recent location and the time it was last updated on your worker profile — we do not keep a continuous location history/track log of everywhere you've been. Per-job check-in coordinates are stored against that specific job record.
You can turn location permission off in your device settings at any time; doing so will prevent you from being marked available for new jobs and from using live in-job location features, since the app relies on location to provide them.
To verify your identity as a service professional, Parivaar collects:
These documents are uploaded to secure cloud storage and are only ever accessed through short-lived, authenticated links generated by our backend — they are not publicly browsable.
Parivaar requests camera and photo-library access to:
Camera/photo access is only used for these worker-verification and job check-in purposes.
We collect a limited amount of technical information needed to operate the app:
We do not use advertising identifiers or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs in the Parivaar app.
As you use the app, we store information about the jobs offered to and completed by you, including: job category, service address/location and pincode, scheduled date/time and duration, price, status (e.g. assigned, in progress, completed, cancelled), check-in/check-out times and location, and the customer's name and contact number for that job. For workers with an ongoing monthly employer relationship, we also store the employer's name, contact number, salary details, and attendance/leave records. Your earnings, completed job count, and any ratings/reviews received from customers are also stored and shown on your profile.
Your information is processed by Maid In India's own backend systems (including our internal dispatch and job-matching platform, referred to internally as "Mii") to operate core features like job matching, dispatch, availability sync, and live job tracking. This is internal processing within Maid In India's own systems, not a transfer to an outside company.
We use a small number of third-party service providers strictly to operate the app:
These providers only receive the minimum information needed to perform their function (e.g. your phone number and OTP message for the SMS provider) and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Maid In India, our workers, our customers, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
We retain your account and profile information for as long as your Parivaar account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we delete your profile, contact, location, document, and device-token data as described on our account deletion page. Records of completed, paid jobs may be retained afterward in a form no longer linked to your identity, where necessary for accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, and other legitimate business or legal purposes. We do not keep an exact fixed retention period for every data category beyond what is described here and on the account deletion page; data is otherwise kept only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) transmission between the app and our servers, authenticated and time-limited access links for uploaded documents/photos rather than public URLs, and access controls that restrict who can view worker data internally. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; we do not claim any specific security certification.
You can review and update most of your profile information directly within the app. You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see below), and to contact us with any question or request about your personal data, including requests to access or correct information we hold about you.
You can delete your Parivaar worker account and request deletion of your associated personal data at any time — either from within the app (Profile → Delete account) or, without needing to log in, from our public account deletion page:
https://miiparivaar.replit.app/account-deletion
That page explains, in detail, exactly what is deleted and what may be retained and why.
Parivaar is a worker-facing app intended for adult service professionals. Onboarding requires you to confirm you are at least 18 years old, and the app is not directed at, and does not knowingly collect personal information from, children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app or our practices. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
